The compact yet powerful Raspberry Pi personal computers are still very popular, and have been around for just under 10 years. This is not surprising, as it is possible to build very interesting devices on its basis. This is also an incentive for Raspberry Pi to prepare new computer systems as a bet.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation recently unveiled its new microcontroller with one big surprise – the price of the controller is lower than a fast food restaurant menu. That's right. The Raspberry Pi Pico 2 controller costs just five US dollars, which is a little over four and a half euros. The novelty is already available for purchase online at https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/raspberry-pi-pico-2/.

The Pico 2 is powered by a custom-built RP2350 chip (SoC). It also has a built-in 150 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor and 264K of SRAM, and 2MB of memory. It is also suitable for beginners, as the foundation regularly takes care of its released products, as well as publishes guides that guide the consumer step by step.

In conjunction with the super-compact Raspberry Pi Pico system, a rich range of interfaces is available, with USB interfaces and support for programming with the UF2 interface standing out in particular. There is even a dedicated temperature sensor available. More information about the product itself is available at the online link https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/raspberry-pi-pico-2/.
