Minix has launched its new Neo Z95 mini computer. It is aimed at users who need a small and affordable system for basic tasks. The device stands out for its very compact design and solid connectivity despite its small size.

The computer is powered by Intel's quad-core N95 processor. The latter is of course intended for energy-efficient systems with low power consumption. This processor is sufficient for everyday tasks such as office work, web browsing, video playback or basic home server functions.

The Neo Z95 model comes with 16GB of system memory and 512GB of SSD space, which provides enough performance for most basic tasks. The system also includes integrated Intel UHD Xe graphics with 16 graphics units. This is mainly suitable for video playback and very light gaming.

Despite its small size, the mini PC has surprisingly rich connectivity. There are three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 outputs, and two gigabit Ethernet ports, which is especially useful for networking or server tasks. The device also supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity.

For data storage, the system uses two M.2 2280 SSD slots, one of which supports PCIe 3.0 x4 and the other PCIe 3.0 x1. This allows for storage expansion or the use of multiple drives.

One of the biggest advantages of the device is its size. The case measures approximately 8.79 × 8.79 × 4.19 cm, which means that the mini computer fits easily even in very small workspaces or behind the TV.

The price for the configuration with 512 GB of storage is 309 euros. There is also a version with an Intel N97 processor and 12 GB of system memory. The latter costs 285 euros.
