Introducing the details of the upcoming Google Pixel 11 Pro phone

Google is gearing up to officially unveil its new smartphone lineup on August 12th at an event in New York. Based on the samples so far, we can expect the devices to hit shelves just a few weeks after the event. The family will consist of four models, with the Google Pixel 11 Pro expected to be the most eye-catching.

Given the general market conditions for RAM, higher prices are expected. An early leak on Amazon suggests that the starting price for the Google Pixel 11 Pro will rise to around €1,000, a roughly €90 increase over last year's model. The larger Google Pixel 11 Pro XL is expected to start at around €1,180, which is also a significant price jump.

The external appearance of the device remains very similar to its predecessor, as it retains the characteristic horizontal oval protrusion for the cameras on the back. However, it brings an interesting innovation called Pixel Glow. It is a small colored light in the camera assembly that will discreetly notify the user of received messages or calls when the phone is turned face down. The device will also be available in slightly more subdued color shades.

In terms of technical capabilities, the data reveals that the Google Pixel 11 Pro will be equipped with a 16.00 cm (6.3-inch) OLED screen with a resolution of 2,856 x 1,280 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Inside, the new Google Tensor G6 processor will work, and a battery with a capacity of 4,850 mAh will provide power. The larger XL model will offer a 17.53 cm (6.9-inch) screen and a battery with a capacity of 5,115 mAh.

There is a change in the system memory, as leaks mention versions with 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM. Since the previous Pro models offered exclusively 16 GB, the smaller offer will probably be tied to models with less available storage space. As for the cameras, expectations remain high regarding the main lenses, but the leaked data surprisingly suggests the possibility of a front camera with a resolution of only 13 MP, which would be a step back compared to the previous generation.
