Foldable device with 13-inch screen and keyboard in one

Working on the go often means carrying around a bunch of incompatible gadgets, from tablets and portable monitors to wireless keyboards and external batteries. VitaLink aims to simplify this chaos with a new device that combines a premium ultra-wide display and keyboard in a single aluminum chassis. The result is a sleek, foldable "slab" that instantly transforms your smartphone, tablet or mini PC into a powerful workstation.

VitaLink is not a laptop in the classic sense, as it does not have its own processor, but acts as an advanced extension for your existing devices. The centerpiece of the device is a 33 cm (13-inch) touchscreen with a resolution of 3,840 × 1,600 pixels. A special feature is its ultra-wide aspect ratio of 2.4:1, which allows the user to have two applications open, which is ideal for writing articles while simultaneously reviewing sources or editing video.

The device's body is CNC-machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, giving it a rigidity and premium feel that plastic accessories rarely achieve. Thanks to a 180-degree hinge, the device folds into a completely flat slab that's just 20mm thick, and is light enough to easily fit into a laptop sleeve. When open, it only takes up about 34 x 15 cm, meaning you can use it comfortably on small airplane tables or in crowded cafes.

Under the display is a high-quality keyboard with a scissor mechanism, offering 0.8 mm of key travel and RGB lighting in three modes. Connectivity is simplified to the max: via two USB-C ports, the device supports image, data and power transfer with a single cable. VitaLink is “plug-and-play” compatible with Windows, macOS, Android and iOS operating systems, which means it will work with your iPhone, iPad, Android phone (e.g. via Samsung DeX mode) or even portable game consoles such as Steam Deck and ROG Ally.

The display supports 10-point touch, 60 Hz refresh rate and covers 100 % sRGB color gamut, which will delight digital creators. The device thus bridges the gap between the mobility of a smartphone and the productivity of a desktop computer. Currently, VitaLink is available as part of a crowdfunding campaign at a promotional price of EUR 260, which is a significant saving compared to the final retail price, which is expected to be over EUR 600.
