The mini PC market is richer for a powerful newcomer. Acemagic has refreshed its F5A model. Originally designed with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, it now comes in a version with an even more powerful processor, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470. Although the processors are quite similar, the new model brings a 100 MHz higher processor clock speed and a 200 MHz faster graphics part, providing that little bit of extra power that demanding users are looking for.

At the heart of the graphics performance is the integrated AMD Radeon 890M, based on the RDNA 3+ architecture with 16 compute units. This hardware allows the mini PC to perform decently even when playing modern titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 or Baldur's Gate 3. At 1,080p resolution and low to medium settings, the experience should be smooth enough for most gamers. For those who need even more graphics power, the Acemagic F5A offers an OCuLink connector, through which you can connect an external graphics card (eGPU), such as the GeForce RTX 5070, which costs around 597 euros.

Connectivity is where this device really shines. It is equipped with two USB-C ports with support for the USB 4 standard (40 Gbit/s), four USB-A ports, two 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet ports, and HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 outputs. This configuration allows the simultaneous use of up to four 8K monitors. Wireless communication is provided by the latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 standards. The device's interior allows for expandability, as there are two M.2 slots for PCIe 4.0 SSD drives, and the system is officially compatible with both the Windows 11 operating system and the Ubuntu Linux distribution.

The new version of the Acemagic F5A with the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor is already available for pre-order in the manufacturer's online store, and the first shipments are expected to be received by customers towards the end of May. The basic version (barebone), which does not include RAM and SSD, is estimated at approximately 713 euros. The device is an interesting choice for anyone looking for a balance between low space consumption and high raw performance.
