Xiaomi Book Pro 14 also with the new Intel Panther Lake processor
Xiaomi has pleasantly surprised us with an updated version of its Book Pro 14 laptop, which brings a significant upgrade in the form of a new generation of Intel processors. The novelty uses the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor, which belongs to the upcoming Panther Lake processor family.
The processor features a 16-core design, consisting of a combination of high-performance, energy-efficient and low-power cores. The maximum frequency reaches approximately 4.8 GHz, and the processor also includes 18 MB of L3 cache. Graphics tasks are handled by the integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, which is based on the Xe3 architecture. This graphics part has more graphics cores and is a significant improvement over older integrated graphics in laptops.
Despite the powerful hardware, Xiaomi has maintained a very lightweight design. The body is made of magnesium alloy, and the bottom part uses a carbon structure, which allows for a low weight of about 1.08 kg. An advanced cooling system is also built in for stable operation. This includes a large vapor chamber, a fast fan unit, and improved airflow.
The device will be available in multiple memory configurations, including 24GB or 32GB of system memory and 1TB of SSD storage. The laptop also includes a 14-inch display, and Xiaomi is offering it in multiple colors, including blue, white, and gray.
With the Book Pro 14, Xiaomi is clearly targeting the ultralight laptop segment, where it competes with devices like the MacBook Air and other premium compact laptops. The combination of the new Intel platform, powerful integrated graphics, and a very lightweight design could appeal to users looking for a powerful yet portable computer for everyday work.
