Honor Play 11 Plus with record-breaking battery and stunning display

Honor has quietly launched its new Honor Play 11 Plus in China. The mid-range device stands out with its massive 7,000mAh battery and advanced AMOLED display, all packed into a surprisingly thin body. The phone, which is essentially a rebranded version of the Honor X80i, offers a balanced combination of performance and modern AI features.

The Honor Play 11 Plus features a 16.76 cm (6.6-inch) AMOLED display with a high resolution of 2,600 x 1,200 pixels. The display covers the DCI-P3 color gamut and its peak brightness reaches an impressive 6,500 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. 3840 Hz PWM dimming protects the eyes from fatigue, while the physical surface is protected with aluminosilicate.

Under the hood, the Dimensity 6500 Elite processor is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage for smooth performance. The device runs on MagicOS 10, which is based on Android 16. Honor has integrated a number of AI features into the system, including the YOYO smart assistant, advanced AI notes, translation tools, and system optimizations for better performance.

The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, which allows for up to 10x digital zoom. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls, and the device supports 1080p video recording.

One of the most impressive features is the 7,000 mAh battery, which supports fast wired and reverse charging. Despite such a large power source, the phone is extremely thin, measuring only 0.73 cm thick and weighing approximately 185 grams. The Honor Play 11 Plus also includes an under-display fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, IP66 protection, NFC technology, infrared remote, Bluetooth 6.0 and support for two SIM cards on the 5G network.

The phone is available in two colors: Sunrise Gold and Lanyue Silver (also known as Moon Embracing Silver). The price for the version with 8 GB of system memory and 256 GB of storage is calculated at 282 euros. The device is already available for official sale in China.
