Logitech Foldable Travel Mouse

Logitech has officially unveiled its first ultra-portable travel mouse, the Mobi Fold, which folds in half with a special hinge. Interestingly, the device doesn't have a power button. It turns off simply by folding it. It will be available in four attractive colors.

As the name of the new Logitech computer mouse suggests, the novelty folds in half with the help of an advanced hinge. The hinge rotates about 130 degrees, which reduces the gadget to a size that easily slips into any pocket. The portable novelty will cost about 74 euros, and buyers will be able to choose between graphite, white, purple and sand colors.

The arc-shaped design of the case may resemble Microsoft's Surface Arc mouse, but the concept of "folding" is different. While the competitor folds completely flat, Logitech's new product closes similar to flip phones. The manufacturer specifically emphasizes the durability of the mechanism, as the hinge is said to be tested for 15 years of daily use.

The silicone coating on the body provides better grip and also cushions any falls to the floor. When folded, the mouse is just over 1.9 cm high, and its dimensions are approximately 6.6 cm by 6.35 cm. At 79 grams, it is slightly heavier than the Pebble Mouse 2 model of the same brand, but significantly smaller.

According to the manufacturer, a full battery lasts for up to a month. In case of emergency, when it runs out, a one-minute quick charge provides up to 22 hours of additional autonomy. Energy management is solved without a classic switch, as the device turns off automatically when folded.

On the bottom of the case is an optical sensor with a resolution of 4K DPI and a single button designed to connect and switch between up to three devices at once. The upper part brings the classic main buttons, between which a multi-function touchpad is located. Sliding on this surface allows you to scroll through documents, and the movement speed can be adjusted between fast scrolling and precise line reading within the Logi Options Plus application. The top and bottom edges of the pad act as additional physical buttons, which by default serve to navigate forward and backward while browsing, but can be configured in the software.

When it comes to handling, it is worth highlighting the detail that the touchpad remains responsive even when lifting the device to fold it, while the physical buttons are disabled just before it is completely closed. The product is intended for the global market, but the exact date of the start of sales has not yet been revealed beyond the presentation itself.
