An interesting computer screen with e-ink
The company Modos presented a new and extremely interesting 13.3-inch e-ink screen. The screen is intended for desktop computers and offers image rendering with a resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels. The image drawing frequency is 60 images per second, which makes it suitable for office work.
The Modos Paper Monitor can display up to 16 shades of gray. The novelty has several ways to display images, so we can adapt it to the way we work. And it's all powered by an open-source FPGA operating system. This means that advanced users will be able to prepare dedicated programs for it.
The novelty is of course suitable for simpler tasks. Its advantage is that it offers excellent image rendering even in strong daylight. The Modos Paper Monitor screen can be connected to Linux, MacOS and Windows computers via HDMI or USB. The novelty is also available with a screen with a diagonal of 6 inches. This one is more suitable for smaller computer systems.
The new Modos Paper Monitor will be available for purchase soon. It will be available for pre-order via the startup's website Crowd Supply. More information is available at the online link https://www.crowdsupply.com/modos-tech/modos-paper-monitor.
