WeatherNOW: weather app from an independent Slovenian developer
The app on your smartphone just got some competition, as a refresh from homegrown brands is coming. An independent Slovenian developer has officially released its first app on the Google Play platform. WeatherNOW, which promises an advanced, modern and artificial intelligence-supported user experience.
It is an ambitious, long-term technological project that is entirely the result of domestic knowledge and independent development.
More than just a normal forecast
WeatherNOW is not just another app that tells you whether you'll need an umbrella tomorrow. It was developed with the vision of providing the user with the most accurate and visually appealing overview of what's happening in the atmosphere.
The application covers 177 countries and brings a range of advanced features:
- Advanced radars and weather layers: Clear monitoring of weather fronts. With animated radars, users can observe, for example, the movement of precipitation in real time.
- Storm monitoring: A feature that will come in handy during the summer months when local storms are unpredictable.
- AI Weather Insights (NP AI): The built-in artificial intelligence system analyzes data and provides the user with smart, simple and useful insights into weather events.
- Global pulse: In addition to accurate local forecasts, the app also includes local time for cities around the world and timely weather alerts.

Modern, user-centric design
In addition to its technological background, WeatherNOW focuses on a clean user interface. It is free of unnecessary clutter, and I find it intuitive and aesthetic.
Domestic development
Supporting independent (indie) developers is key to innovation in the mobile app market. WeatherNOW is a great example of how an individual with vision and knowledge can create an interesting and useful product.
The application is now available for free download on the Google Play Store.
