New cheap Samsung phones with much longer support

Apple provides at least 5 years of support, Samsung and Google provide 7 years of support for their phones, but not for all. This privilege is more or less reserved for premium phones. 1000 euros and more to buy a phone is not exactly a small amount. Most phones are sold in lower classes, where the average support period is around 2 years. The speed of receiving these updates is also an issue. Google phones are understandably the first to get access to new Android systems, but for other phones it depends on the manufacturer. The situation has improved recently and owners of Samsung, Xiaomi and Honor phones are getting new updates very quickly. 

Updating an Android phone to a new operating system or security patch requires a lot of resources and testing. However, changes are expected at Samsung. The computer giant is also expected to provide extended support for its cheaper A-series smartphones. This will now amount to a long six years, or four years more than now. The first phone with extended support was the inexpensive Galaxy A16 5G. 

Nedavno pa je podjetje Samsung zagotovilo daljšo podporo še za tri nove poceni pametne mobilne telefone družine Galaxy. Tu gre za mobilnike Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 in Galaxy A26. S tem je podjetje Samsung jasno nakazalo, da bo daljša podora za Android postala stalnica za njegove pametne mobilne telefone. S tem pa bodo seveda zdaleč najbolj pridobili njihovi uporabniki.
