Euro-Office leaves the browser, also available on the computer

Until now, the Euro-Office office suite has worked exclusively in a web browser, but in the future, users will be able to edit texts, spreadsheets and presentations in a dedicated program on Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems. The tool will allow local work without an Internet connection and automatic synchronization when reconnecting to the Nextcloud server. The application supports Microsoft Office formats and OpenDocument files, and official downloads will be available in the coming weeks, although the installation code is already ready. In addition, Collabora Online will remain in the system as a parallel option.

In addition to the desktop client, the Hub 26 Summer release brings many other new features. The Nextcloud Teams feature creates shared workspaces for files and tasks, while the Nextcloud Tables app now supports relational columns and table structure import, making it easier to connect data. The Mail app has added the ability to redirect Sieve and turn off automatic marking of read messages, and the Talk tool brings new channels, posts, and options for confidential conversations.

Nextcloud Assistant has also been updated, offering local text recognition from images, subtitle creation, and automatic task execution at a specified time. The Photos app brings a new map view and automatic collection of travel memories, and one-time passwords can be used for additional security when sharing files.
