Hisense's lightweight smart glasses with impressive battery life and advanced sound

Hisense has launched the G11 smart glasses in the Chinese market, combining ultra-lightweight, advanced AI for translation, and a premium audio system from Danish company Vifa. With a battery that provides nearly 50 hours of operation and a sleek design, this wearable device blurs the lines between classic fashion accessories and high-tech at an affordable price.

Chinese tech giant Hisense has expanded its wearables offering with the launch of the Smart Audio Glasses G11. Although the device falls into the smart glasses category, it is essentially a sophisticated audio system integrated into stylish frames, complemented by smart features supported by a lightweight AI model.

One of the most impressive features of the G11 is its construction. The lightest frame version weighs just 26.5 grams, which is comparable to a pair of regular prescription glasses. Hisense has focused on second-generation ergonomics, including ultra-thin handles measuring just 5.3 mm thick. This design ensures comfort even during prolonged use without making the device look bulky or noticeably technological.

At the heart of the smart features is a large language model (LLM), which enables real-time dialogue translation and interpretation, which is extremely useful for travelers and business people. However, the glasses really shine in the audio. The audio system has been tuned by renowned Danish company Vifa, and a six-microphone system allows for spatial sound capture. Hisense claims that the glasses offer best-in-class noise reduction technology, which, together with multi-dimensional interaction, makes the device ideal for outdoor use.

Battery life is another area where the G11 pushes the boundaries. Total battery life is up to 47.2 hours, while continuous listening lasts up to 12 hours. The device also includes convenient magnetic charging, an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, and a voice recording function.

The Hisense G11 glasses are available in China at a starting price of approximately 154 euros. It is not yet known whether Hisense will also offer this model in international markets, where it would represent direct competition to similar products such as the Xiaomi Mijia smart glasses.
